The Eternal Flame

Spread the love
The Kiss, oil on canvas by Gustav Klimt, 1908
The heartful glance of a beloved, divine,
A winter fire that warms the soul,
A raging waterfall, beyond control,
A breath from depths where stars align.

A message in a bottle cast to sea,
A love that lasts through space and time,
An endless flame, a song, a rhyme,
A vow the heavens guard for thee.

There’s innocence shining in their eyes,
A mischief dancing in their smile,
A tender lie that charms, beguile,
Like dawn’s first blush in morning skies.

Their bodies hum, their fingers sing,
Their feet float light on air so near,
Their gaze ignites the dark with cheer,
The soul takes flight on passion’s wing.

Their constant gaze till the sun is down,
Caress their cheeks as raindrops fall,
The eternal flame of our love shall call,
Till earth shall spin and moon wears crown.

Through winds of fate and shifting sand,
Their story clings to cliffs like a daydream,
A promise whispered through though unseen,
That they shall meet in every land.
